Pho Xe Tang - Tank Noodle.
Of all the cuisines we’ve tried throughout our lives, neither Rob nor I had ever tried pho before this weekend. For the unaware, pho is a Vietnamese beef and noodle soup. After searching on Yelp for the highest-rated restaurant in Chicago, we decided on Pho Xe Tang - Tank Noodle, which had great reviews. Our meal definitely did not disappoint in the slightest. We started off with an order of their famous spring rolls, which were packed with incredibly fresh veggies. Rob ordered pho with pieces of beef and I had a pho dish with a combination of different meats, including tripe and tendon. The broth in both soups were savory and hearty and it was clear that the chefs at Tank Noodle put great effort into making their broths. The meat and noodles also both had excellent flavor and weren’t too heavy. Now that we’ve discovered a new favorite type of cuisine, Rob and I will definitely be paying Pho Xe Tang - Tank Noodle more visits in the future.
